Tatsu Yamashiro, known as Katana, is a DC Comics superheroine first appearing in The Brave and the Bold #200 (July 1983).

Her origin story tells of tragedy. Her husband, Maseo, and his brother Takeo were both in love with her. Takeo, consumed by jealousy, used a Soultaker sword to kill Maseo. Tatsu fought Takeo and disarmed him. The sword consumed Takeo’s soul, and Katana escaped, taking the Soultaker sword with her.

Katana is skilled in martial arts and swordsmanship, wielding the Soultaker. The Soultaker contains the souls of those it kills, allowing Katana to communicate with them. She often seeks vengeance for her husband's death and justice for others.
